    A remarkable map, and I think not easily done. Is this the work of a computer scientist?

      Thank you! I’m a geologist, actually, but I have to make a lot of maps and plots. The first map is actually done with Google’s Fusion Tables, which is pretty easy for anyone to use – you just upload a spreadsheet with addresses or coordinates in it and it will map them for you. The other two I had to write scripts for, though.
